With the sun shining, the balloons up and the ribbon hung, Menno Place gathered for the grand opening of the putting green and lawn bowling alley. As BC’s largest campus of care, with over 700 residents, Menno Place is continually finding new ways to promote healthy and energetic living for seniors. There was an air of childlike excitement, as everyone knew that in just a few minutes they would get to play…

Menno Place hosted their second annual Butterfly Release Celebration for seniors, families, and staff in the beautifully landscaped courtyard in the center of the 11-acre campus of care in Abbotsford.
Residents, family members, and staff were encouraged to purchase butterflies for release on this very special occasion…

Comfort Keepers is widely recognized as a leading provider of quality in-home care to seniors and other clients who need help with the activities of daily living. The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home care, whom we call Comfort Keepers, are carefully selected, screened and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.
Family and Friends meetings occur every third Thursday of the month (excluding July and August) from 1:30-2:30pm. Coffee, tea and refreshments will be provided. Family, friends, representatives of Menno Home and Menno Hospital residents are invited to attend.

Come and join us to discover how family and friends can be supported and involved in residents’ lives at Menno Home and Hospital.
Family and Friends is a group consisting of resident family members, friends and representatives who work together with staff to maintain and enhance the quality of life of residents and provide a voice in decisions that affect their loved ones. Refreshments are served.
Rexall Health Solutions provides pharmacy services to residents of long term care (LTC), assisted living (AL), retirement communities, group homes, addiction recovery and hospice. The Rexall Health Solutions Clinical Steering Committee informs best practices used by our clinical team, evaluates new clinical information, and brings new educational programs to life.
Liezel Hippsley is an RN with over 20 years’ experience working with Seniors. Her career includes experience in surgery, medical, community, and LTC where she specialized in Dementia care. In LTC, Liezel was a Care coordinator, nurse educator, and DOC. In Rexall, she is the account manager for LTC, AL/IL, mental health, group homes and hospice care. She acts as the liaison between homes, pharmacy and head office. One of her roles is to coordinate special projects, facilitate education and implement contractual obligations. Come see how her work supports the lives of the residents at Menno Place in the next Family Council.

Menno Place Campus is one of the largest senior's care campuses in British Columbia. There are 700 seniors living on 11 acres across from the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Menno Place is governed by the Mennonite Benevolent Society which founded faith-based seniors care on this location in 1953.
