What people are saying about Grandparent’s Day! PLUS… a Winner!
Through our Friends and Family Email Newsletter, we invited people to give us their feedback on the Grandparent’s Day held on Saturday, September 12th. There were gracious comments about having more food, improving parking signage and having more seating.
We also held a draw for those who provided their responses through the online survey. The winner of the $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant is JUDIE SUDA!
Here are the comments that people shared as highlights of the day:
My grandchildren enjoyed looking at the finches and working on the crossword puzzles in the activity room after they went to the washroom.
Seeing such a great turnout for the day!
As a daughter of a resident, I enjoyed the interaction between my mother and her grandchildren & great grandchildren (my grandchildren). She felt happy to share her “home” with them. They enjoyed lots of fun activities! I’m sure they’ll attend the next event.
Well done!
It was so festive – great idea – everyone so happy – thanks to everyone for their hard work!
The fact that my mom could enjoy the grandkids and they could have fun at grandma’s house! The bouncy castles and cotton candy and popcorn were a hit for the kids. It great!!
Watching my Grandma watch my nephew blow bubbles. The kids loved the train bouncy castle & cotton candy.
To see my two daughters from Philadelphia and Kamloops and my granddaughter with her adorable little one and a half year old daughter from Abbotsford attend the happy atmosphere!
Being able to bring the grandkids for a fun day with great grandma knowing there would be lots of fun things for them to do. Also it was my sons birthday that day – he is now 33 – but he too enjoyed all the food. It was a well run, spectacular event, with loads of food, and we really enjoyed the drummers!
Seeing all the happy faces and the wonderful feeling of community, which I love about Menno Place. We met some family and friends that go back along ways. We both had ‘bunless hot dogs’ . . . good for the waistline.
Having four generations of family together to watch the kids have fun.
