Grandparents Day at Menno Place is a special time for kids of all ages to enjoy a fun-filled and whimsical afternoon with grandpa, grandma, or a special friend! Our courtyard will be transformed into a playland with bouncy castles, live entertainment, yummy food, games, crafts and much more. Residents are excited to invite the ones they love to join in the fun!
Free limited parking is available on the Menno Place campus. Additional free parking spaces are available at Peace Lutheran Church and Mill Lake Church at the corner of Ware St. and Marshall Rd. Shuttle service will run every 10 minutes to and from Menno Place.
When you arrive, please bring your loved one from their unit or apartment into the courtyard to join in on the fun!
International Grandparents Day was first recognized in Canada in 1995. It is a family day intended to honour grandparents, give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children’s children, and help children become aware of the strength, information and guidance older people can offer.
